Vantage Men

Program 2 of 10 · How Attraction Works

Half the advice you have read is wrong. You can feel it.

'You're too nice.' 'You're too intense.' Two different women, two opposite verdicts, the same you.

Understand what actually draws people in, and stop performing a version of yourself that nobody asked for.

  • 4 modules

How it works

'Too nice' and 'too intense' are the same man read two ways.

Women respond to three signals, warmth, competence and security, and most advice has you overdoing one and hiding the others. The workbook shows you the research, then trains the three in balance.

  1. 1Read what the research actually says (week 1)

Kindness is the top-rated trait across 37 cultures, and it is not weakness. Short-term and long-term preferences differ. You take the attachment questionnaire and find out which operating system you are running.

  2. 2Act secure for two weeks

The secure-behaviour drill: state a need, tolerate a slow reply, stop chasing or withdrawing. Warmth first, competence shown through stories, humour as intelligence.

  3. 3Drop the myths and choose well

A myth inventory for looks, money, height and 'alpha'. Then the partner profile, so you stop being drawn to chaos and start noticing consistency.

This is for you if

  • You suspect half the advice you have read online is wrong but cannot tell which half
  • You want to understand why some men you know do well without looking like models
  • You have been told you are 'too nice' or 'too intense' and want to know what that means
  • You want to attract a partner, not just dates

Not for you if

  • You want a script for one-night results; this is built for men who want a partner
  • You want to be told that looks, money and height decide everything, so nothing is your job
  • You will not do the exercises; reading the research changes nothing on its own
  • You want an 'alpha' posture to put on

On the other side

What changes when you do the work

Most dating advice for men is guesswork dressed up as science. This program walks through what the research on mate preferences, attachment and attraction really says, then turns it into behaviour: the traits worth building, the signals worth sending, and the myths worth dropping.

After the program

A clear, evidence-based picture of what women prioritise for short- and long-term partners

After the program

Your attachment style and how it shapes who you attract and how you behave

After the program

The difference between kindness and people-pleasing, and why one attracts and the other repels

After the program

How humour, status, warmth and competence are actually read

After the program

A personal development plan based on the traits with the highest return

What you walk away with

Three signals, and what each one sounds like

The three readings women make in the first minutes, with the version that repels and the version that draws people in. Module three, condensed.

Reads as needy or coldReads as attractive
WarmthCompliments to be liked; agreeing with everythingGenerous without needing a return; disagrees warmly
Competence"I'm pretty senior at work."The story about the night the launch broke and you fixed it at 2 a.m.
Security"Hello?? Did I do something wrong?" after a slow replyNothing. Then a warm reply that moves things forward
HumourRehearsed lines"This café has very strong opinions about oat milk. I feel judged."
SelectionDrawn to chaos and push-pullDrawn to consistency and calm

The path

4 modules, in the order that works

  1. 1What the research says women want

Cross-cultural studies consistently rank kindness, intelligence, emotional stability and dependability at the top. Looks and resources matter, but less than men assume.

Kindness is the top-rated trait, and it is not weaknessShort-term versus long-term preferences
  2. 2Attachment: your operating system

Attachment style, from Levine and Heller's Attached, predicts how you handle closeness, distance and conflict, and who you are drawn to.

    Secure, anxious, avoidantActing secure
  3. 3Signals: warmth, competence and status

People judge others on two axes within seconds: warmth (can I trust you?) and competence (can you get things done?). Attraction needs both.

Warmth firstCompetence and status without braggingHumour as intelligence
  4. 4Myths to drop

The popular 'red pill' narrative gets the research backwards and makes men worse at dating.

Looks, money and heightPlaying hard to get and being 'alpha'

Before and after, in your own words

What changes, row by row

Every program is scored on eight rows, one to five, on day one, day fifteen and day thirty. The left column is where most men start. The right column is what the exercises train. You write your own numbers.

Day 1, typicalDay 30, trained
Understanding of what attracts1Based on forums and guesses5Based on research I can cite
Kindness from strength1I am nice to be liked5I am generous without needing a return
Secure behaviour1I chase or withdraw5I state needs and tolerate uncertainty
Warmth signals1Closed, cold, serious5Open, smiling, engaged
Competence without bragging1I talk about achievements5They show through stories and action
Humour1Rehearsed or absent5Playful, observational, self-aware
Partner selection1Attracted to chaos and push-pull5Attracted to consistency and calm

Illustrative: the rows are the program's own scoring matrix, not reported results. Progress depends on doing the exercises.

Words you can actually say

The scripts: one in full, the rest inside

Not lines to recite. Short frameworks you adapt to your own voice, each with the situation it is for. Here is one of them, unedited.

Showing competence through a story, not a claim

Instead of: 'I'm pretty senior at work.'

Say: 'Last month our launch broke the night before. I ended up running the fix with two people at 2 a.m. and we shipped by nine. Terrible night, great coffee.'

Complete and Ultra
  • Secure response to a slow reply
  • Light observational humour
  • Plus all 33 scripts across every program in the Scripts and Templates Pack, an add-on at checkout.

Everything above is in the workbook tonight. From $37, instant download, 30-day money-back guarantee.

Your pattern, read by a human

You send: your attachment questionnaire result, the myth inventory and two stories of women who called you 'too nice' or 'too intense'.

You get back:

  • Which of the three signals you overdo and which you hide
  • Your attachment pattern in plain language, with the drill that fits it
  • Two of your own stories rewritten so competence shows instead of being claimed

Back within five working days of you sending it. Plus the private 60-minute call, six fortnightly check-ins and the 90-day path. Questions go to support@clearsignal.online.

Questions men ask before buying

How Attraction Works: answered honestly

Will this work for a guy like me, not tall, not rich, not 25?

The research is unusually kind to you: for the partners women keep, kindness, emotional stability and dependability rank above looks and money, and those are behaviours. Age is not a variable in any of the exercises.

I was told I'm too nice. Is this another 'be alpha' course?

No. 'Too nice' usually means kindness from fear, pleasing in the hope of being chosen. The fix is kindness from strength, competence shown, and secure behaviour, not a posture. The word alpha appears in the workbook once, in the myths chapter.

Who wrote this and what are the sources?

The workbook draws on Buss's mate-preference research, Levine and Heller's Attached, Vanessa Van Edwards on cues and Logan Ury's work at Hinge. Every lesson names what it draws on, and the library links to the originals so you can check us.

Why is it cheaper than coaching?

Because it is a workbook with email support, not hours of a person's time. A coach hour in this category runs $150 to $1,250. Complete is $97 once and includes 30 days of email Q&A; Ultra adds the call and the written review.

How much time does it take each week?

About three hours: the questionnaire and the reading in week one, then drills that fit inside conversations you were having anyway.

What exactly do I get, and when?

A PDF workbook for the tier you choose, on the confirmation page and in your email within a minute of paying. Starter has the lessons, the curated library, the 7-day plan, the starter exercises and the scoring matrix. Complete adds the full 30-day program, every exercise, the scripts and 30 days of email Q&A. Ultra adds the 90-day path, a private call, the written review and fortnightly check-ins.

How much time does it take?

Most exercises take ten to twenty minutes. The 7-day plan is one small task a day. The 30-day program is a focus per week; three evenings a week is enough.

Is this pick-up artist stuff?

No. It is built on research on attraction, attachment and communication, and on one test: would it still work if she knew exactly what you were doing? Anything that fails that test is not in the workbook.

What shows on my card, and is it private?

Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card. The statement shows the brand name, not the program title. Nothing is posted anywhere and your email is used only for your order and, if you opt in, the emails you asked for.

What if it does not work for me?

Email support within 30 days of buying and you get a full refund, every tier, no form and no questions that make you feel small. You keep the PDF.
